Ladies and Gentlemen, Roll The Dice (Round 1 2060-2062)
I’ll just give you the heads up of what the ROS for this round have been rolled:
- Burglar! A burglar breaks into the household for one night only. Do not use any security alarms while playing this lot.
- Sim must die of unknown natural causes (Sad, I know
) - Spend a night in the local cemetery (Spooky)
- A distant relative moves into the household
The title comes from ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, Roll the Dice’ by Kasabian.
Vision Valley 2060
The sudden economic crash of 2013 had a very large impact on the small towns in Vision State. The small town of Vision Valley was hit the hardest. Businesses were forced to close down, not earning enough to cover the skyrocketing interests rates of their business loans. Eventually, the main public buildings, such as the school, church and medical clinic closed down. Families living within the facility had no choice but to move out of Vision Valley to find better jobs as their houses were foreclosed. Vision Valley became a ghost town by the end of the decade.
In 2040, the Vision State Government proposed the Tiny Towns Renewable Project, aiming to revive the desolate small towns from the area after the economic crash. It’s aim was to build and restore houses and buildings, offering highly-skilled job offers and giving out interest free business loans for families wishing to start a rural change. By 2060, the project had reached it’s target and families have now established themselves in the renewed towns.

I decided to go out on a fresh clean slate. My computer with all my Sims 2 files has crashed. Thankfully, I had most downloads on backup and got a laptop for Christmas (with Windows 7) and decided to install of my base game and EPs on there. Sadly, it looks like I have lost my original characters forever so I’ve came up with an idea; fast forward it to about 50 years into the future. Let’s just say that all of the in game characters have been affected by the financial crisis and had to move away.
I’ve already created my characters and have started playing their households and even rolled ROS’s for them.

Jonathan had finally started up the town newspaper. He had brought an old, run down coffee shop, with a little office on top perfect for him to write all the articles.

Toby could not bare to look at Deni. The new school semester had started and he wished that he and Deni were never table mates, sitting side by side.

The affair had a full-blown effect on the Franklins. Graham would try and call Catherine and apologise for advancing on and flirting with her. On the other end she talks about that she was being impulsive and didn’t know what she was doing.

This lovely Summer day was prefect enough for the Vision Valley Day Church’s annual family picnic. No cloud was in the sky and the park was abundant with food, games and entertainment hired out by Graham.
Cheated Hearts-Round 2 (Spring 2011)

“I love you too.” Catherine whispered back.
The family home life was great. Their businesses were good. And the woo-hooing? It was pretty obvious. Yet for Catherine, she began to have urges for something else.
Hold On
I’m still here. Just that my computer got infected with spyware (again). It had really annoying pop-ups and won’t allow me to open certain programs but it’s fixed. If you also have problems with spyware, I use this program called Super Antispyware which is free and get rids of trojans and viruses easily.

Random Occurrence Scenarios (ROS)-Round 2
I’m going to start using Random Occurrence Scenario for my households starting now. I use a file from MATY and modify it to suit my needs. There will be 4 ROS each round and will extend it when my neighbourhood grows. I use a virtual dice that is used for games such as Dungeons and Dragons to determine who gets the ROS and what will it be.
The ROS for Round 2 are:
- Mid-Life Crisis: A married/partnered Sim must start an affair with a sim of the highest LT relationship. (Uh-Oh)
- Your sim must fulfill 5 wants within 24 hours.
- Meet someone new, pick someone the sim has not yet met and go steady.
- Dumped! (Or, “It’s not you, it’s me. I just don’t want a commitment.”) Sim gets unceremoniously dumped. (Ouch)
I can’t tell who got the ROS’s but I’ll tell you that the last three will be intertwined in the storyline someway .
